Important considerations when switching to another supplier<\/h2>\n
Changing electricity supplier is a simple process, although there are still some myths<\/strong> out there that often generate doubts. Let’s resolve it:<\/p>\n\n- Is the power cut off during the changeover? No <\/strong>. The change of supplier does not interrupt the supply at any time. The energy arrives to you in the same way, the only thing that changes is who bills you for it.<\/li>\n
- Is there any cost for the change? No <\/strong>. The switching process is completely free of charge. If you have a contract with permanence with another company, you should check if they impose penalties for early cancellation, but most current tariffs do not have permanence. We, for example, do not.<\/li>\n
- Can I verify that the energy is green? Yes <\/strong>. At PROT Energ\u00eda we guarantee that all the energy we supply is certified as 100% renewable, issued by the CNMC. You can check it in each invoice or ask us for the certificates whenever you want.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
How many changes of supplier can be made?<\/h2>\n
Yes<\/strong>, you can change your electricity supplier as many times as you wish. It is also true that, in general, you do not constantly change supplier, at most once a year.<\/p>\nThis way you can check the evolution<\/strong> of your consumption and evaluate if you need a more stable tariff, a variable tariff, or one with hourly discrimination. Most companies allow you to cancel without penalty, but you should always read the contract conditions carefully. If you are on a tariff without permanence, you can change without paying fees or cancellation costs at any time.<\/p>\nHow long does it take to change electricity suppliers?<\/h2>\n
The changeover process is not immediate<\/strong>, but it is quite fast<\/strong>, since it takes between 15 and 20 working days from the time the contract is signed<\/strong>. Remember, during this period, you continue to receive electricity with your previous supplier and, once the change is activated, you will receive the bill with your new company.
